Dolphin Discovery, the world leader in dolphin habitats and the largest Dolphin family in the world, announced that as of September 5th, Dolphin Connection, located in Hawks Cay Resort in the Florida Keys, is now part of the Mexican company, becoming its most recent acquisition.

Dolphin Connection was founded in 1990 by Doug and Cheryl Messinger, the latter being the first female president of the International Association of Marine Animal Trainers (IMATA) in 1995.
The habitat is a member of several international marine mammal care institutions such as IMATA as mentioned earlier and the Alliance of Marine Mammal and Aquarium Parks (AMMPA). Both organizations also accredit Dolphin Discovery.
“This has been a difficult decision for Cheryl and me, but we know that Dolphin Connection, its staff, and the dolphins, could not be in better hands than with Dolphin Discovery” said Doug Messinger.
