Tursi, the bottlenose dolphin, Pinni, the sea lion and Mydas, the green sea turtle learn about the value of teamwork and friendship as they deal with the dangerous problem of plastics in the ocean. When one of them becomes entangled in plastic debris, the trio must embark on a journey to find a solution before it is too late. On the way, they encounter other ocean creatures whose lives are also endangered by plastics in the ocean. Where is all this plastic coming from? Will they find help in time?

How it came about….
This book came about because we received many emails from elementary school teachers requesting educational tools about ocean trash for their classrooms. It was encouraging that so many teachers wanted to share this important environmental message with their students, so we decided to create this book as an interactive resource to meet this need.
With the assistance of an expert education consultant, the book includes many Teaching & Sharing Activities and Project Ideas to meet a variety of educational goals, as well as foster lively discussions about this topic.
All proceeds from this book go towards funding dolphin communication research, so that someday soon the dolphins can teach us what they know about healthy oceans.

On March 22 we celebrate the vital fluid of life, the largest element that our planet has: the water.
With over 70% of our planet covered by it and forming different oceans, lakes, rivers and streams, it is an essential element of our daily life, but did you know that only 2% of this liquid is drinkable? With more than 7 billion people in the world, it is a very small percentage.
That’s why in Dolphin Discovery Group we care for the conservation of the planet fluid. You can also join the #BlueTeam, it is very easy!
In order to conserve water we leave you some basic tips that will help keep the planet clean and pure for many generations:
- Shut off the water while you brush your teeth, wash your hands or dishes. Remember first is lather and then rinse.
- If you see a water leak at home or on the street, do not hesitate to repair it. Drop by drop, the water runs out.
- The green gardens enchant us all, seeks to let fresh water in the afternoon, so the sun does not evaporate the water and plants can absorb more nutrients and we will use less liquid.
- When washing the car or bicycle, seeks to fill a bucket and use cloth and sponge. Wasting less water and more aid to the planet.
- Finally, teach children and adults to conserve water. Do not play with it or waste it. It is a vital liquid for life and which we want to last much longer.

On February in the beautiful coast of the Riviera Maya, took place the annual meeting of the Alliance Marine Mammal Parks and Attractions (AMMPA), making it the first time it is held outside the United States.
With more than 60 experts from all around the world and a program of activities such as “Updates on laws and international politics” or “Status of efforts to save the manatee” receive new members from 2015 certification and renewal. Such was the case of Grupo Dolphin Discovery:
“Dolphin Discovery Group is the company that has certified more dolphinariums, we are grateful to be part of the hostes, so we included in the program of activities a guided tour of the facilities of our dolphinarium in Puerto Aventuras, headquarters of the veterinary team group as well as the breeding program of dolphins, manatees and sea lions, “said Roberto Sanchez Okrucky, Director of Dolphin Discovery Veterinary Medicine Group.
Quintana Roo is a tourist destination, with the highest number of dolphin and marine mammal parks in the country, and now that the annual meeting is happening on our shores means a major breakthrough in the field of psychological and physical health of marine mammals under human care.
AMMPA was founded in 1987 and represents marine life parks such as aquariums, zoos or animal research centers in order to establish best practices in the management of marine mammals and public education.
