How do I get to Cozumel Island?

Cozumel, the Island of the Mexican Caribbean and the biggest one, the important part for the Mayan culture because of its great connection with the Goddess Ixchel (Goddess of Fertility), a beautiful island with its turquoise waters and its good-hearted people, is an Indispensable destination for any traveler. 1.- Airplane

Here I share with you the ways you can get to Cozumel. It has an International Airport, with direct domestic flights from Monterrey, Mexico City and International flights with direct flights from Dallas, Tx, Houston TX, Montreal, among others, which make easy access to this beautiful island, also has an air bridge between Cancun International Airport to Cozumel International Airport, with a duration of 20 minutes flight, this facilitates if you want to fly to Cancun and then fly to Cozumel.

 

2.- Cruises

Cozumel is the main port of arrival for cruises in the world, it has three international docks, receiving cruises from different shipping lines, every day of the week, so you can come from anywhere in the world.

 

3.- Ferry

It also has a passenger ferry, with a duration of 30 minutes and a car ferry with a duration of 60 minutes, departing from Playa del Carmen, every day of the week, and at different times for guest accessibility.

 

Once you are in Cozumel, you can travel through it doing different activities, for example, sunbathing in one of the many beaches with white sand and turquoise sea, a lot of different water activities, archaeological zones such as San Gervasio (refuge of the Goddess Ixchel), natural reserves that are located within the Marine Park which is a protected area for its beautiful coral reefs, such as Punta Sur, Palancar, El Cielo, Chankanaab park among others.

Within the water activities, you can enjoy diving, snorkeling, swimming with dolphins among many other activities.
