From airplane tickets to hotel rooms, activities and tours, undoubtedly, you will also avoid crowds on beaches, streets, malls, commercial centers, and of course, traffic.

You can find better prices if you fly during the week from Tuesday to Thursday.
Try to buy night flights. They are usually cheaper and less crowded.
Avoid direct flights. lights are often cheaper if you make a stopovers.
What are you waiting for, do you have your tickets already?
Rainy season.
The rainy and hurricane season starts in June and ends in November. Eventhough these phenomena mostly occur in August and October, there is very little chance that you will get hit by a hurricane during your stay since Cancun and nearby areas have only been affected by two hurricanes: Hurricane Gilberto in September, 1988, and Hurricane Wilma in October, 2005, both with a big year gap.
Transportation from the airport to your hotel
When you arrive at the Cancun airport, you have a wide variety of options to get to your hotel. We recommend taking a taxi as your last option, since it is very expensive. Your transportation may depend on the time you arrive at the airport, for example:
ADO bus: this is a reliable line, dedicated to the transportation of passengers in the southeast of Mexico. This transport can also take you from the airport to the terminal ADO of downtown Cancun. The service is available from 8 12 AM.
* Attention, it is recommended when you stay staying in downtown hotels or in Playa del Carmen
Transfer Service: If you arrive after 12 at night and before 8 in the morning, the best option is the Transfer service. Some airlines offer this type of public transport when you buy your plane ticket, at an “economic” price.
* Attention, being a Transfer Service, remember that before arriving at your hotel, you may make stops at others since you will be accompanied by other tourists.
Car rental: If you’re travelling with several friends to the Riviera Maya, it is advisable to rent a car to share the expenses of rent and gasoline. One advantage is that you can rent in Cancun and return it in another city.

Weather
If you are looking for a warm destination, Cancun and the Riviera Maya should be at the top of your list. Its climate is temperate and it ranges between 77 and 86 degrees throughout the year, although there is also a rainy season.
The best months to travel and have the best weather are from November to May. We recommend checking the weather before your departure!
Archaeological sites
The Riviera Maya and Cancun are not only synonymous with beautiful beaches, but also with history. You can travel to Mayan ruins like Chichén Itzá, Tulum, Ruinas el Rey, among others. Seize this opportunity to get in touch with history!
Money exchange
Our currency is Mexican pesos, and nowadays you can change one dollar for 18 mexican pesos (this varies daily, we recommended you check the rate with your bank). At the airport, you can withdraw from ATMs; it is also easy to find ATMs and exchange houses throughout the region. Almost all establishments accept credit cards, so do not worry and just enjoy your vacation.
Considerations before coming to Riviera Maya
Here are some tips for traveling to the Riviera Maya, applicable for the entire Caribbean in general:
Bring biodegradable repellent in your luggage since some places require the use of biodegradable products
Bring biodegradable sunscreen to take care of the environment and the species that live in the area.
Do not forget your glasses and hat, they will be your best allies against the sun.
Bring cotton clothes, they will refresh you in hot days.
What clothes to wear?
To travel to Cancun, it is advisable to wear loose clothing, light colors and made with cotton. However you will mostly wear swimwear. Shoes are preferred open such as sandals or flip flops.

Nightclubs are known as “antros”, and are open after 10pm. Admission is approximately $35 US.
